The 1865 mansion, built for Rhode Island Governor Henry Lippitt and wife Mary Ann, is an exceptional setting for intimate weddings. Conveniently located on Providence’s historic East Side, the Museum offers an unrivaled opportunity to host guests in the opulence of Providence’s only high-style Victorian museum. Generations of the Lippitt family entertained guests in this sumptuous location for over one hundred years. Rates

All packages include access to the Museum’s six, first-floor rooms as well as the beautiful grounds, including the 1873 fountain, which operates seasonally. Couples may also have use of a second-floor chamber prior to their ceremony.

 

Packages include the use of the Museum’s banquet tables and chairs as well as a Steinway baby grand piano. Room and garden set-up is flexible to meet your specific event day needs.

Packages A & B

Both packages include two (2) site visits from the time of booking through the event date which may be used for planning with vendors, rehearsal, etc.

These packages also include up to two (2) hours of vendor setup and one (1) hour breakdown. Renter is responsible for contracting vendor-provided services including catering.

House Capacity

Standing Cocktail Reception: 75 guest maximum

Seated Meal: 60 guest maximum - Additional equipment rental needed.

Seated Ceremony: 50 guest maximum

Museum Resources

The Museum provides free use of many items that typically have to be rented, including chairs, tables, and other equipment. Check with Museum staff on current available equipment.
